Who we are

This policy explains how WEBIT Services, Inc. ("WEBIT," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website or contact us through it. WEBIT is a 100% employee-owned managed IT and cybersecurity company located at 1815 W. Diehl Road, Suite 200, Naperville, IL 60563.

This policy covers our website only. If your organization is a WEBIT client, the handling of your systems and data is governed by your agreement with us, including our Master Services Agreement and Service Statement.

Information you give us

We collect the information you choose to send us, including when you:

• Fill out a contact, discovery call, or download form (name, company, email, phone, and your message)
• Email yourself a pricing calculator estimate or a free tool report, such as the Security Scorecard, Cyber Insurance Readiness Checklist, IT Budget Planner, or MSP self-assessment (your answers and results are included in the email)
• Chat with us through the chat window on the site, which may include your name, email, phone number, and the conversation
• Apply for a job or contact us by phone or email

The free tools calculate your results in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us unless you choose to have the results emailed. The email spoofing checker looks up the public DNS records for the domain you enter using Cloudflare public DNS. We do not store the domain unless you ask us to email you the report.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our service providers collect standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to understand how visitors use the site. Google may set cookies to do this. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Lead source. We set a first-party cookie named webit_ghl_attr that remembers how you found us, such as the first page you visited and any campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source). It lasts 90 days and is attached to a form only if you submit one.
• Your choices. A cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics and marketing cookies, and you can change your choice any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
• Site features. The site stores small preferences in your browser, for example that you already closed an offer or unlocked a report, so it does not ask again.

How we use information

• Respond to your questions and requests, and send you the estimates and reports you ask for
• Schedule and prepare for conversations about our services
• Keep a record of our communication with you in our customer relationship management system
• Improve the website, our content, and our services
• Protect the site and our business from fraud, spam, and abuse
• Meet legal and regulatory obligations

We may send you occasional emails about our services or events if you contact us or opt in. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and agree to be contacted by text, we may send messages about your request or appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. We do not share mobile numbers or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do that work, including:

• Our website host and WordPress plugins that run the site and its forms
• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), our customer relationship management, chat, email, and text messaging platform
• Google, for website analytics
• Email delivery providers that send form notifications and the reports you request

WEBIT is part of the buildkin family of employee-owned companies, which share certain finance, human resources, and sales functions. We may share contact information with these companies only for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

How long we keep information

We keep contact and inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you, maintain our business relationship, and meet legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it.

How we protect information

We protect the information we collect with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, multi-factor authentication, and the same security practices we use for our clients. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

• Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
• Marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, or reply STOP to text messages.
• Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work as intended without them.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

This site links to other websites, such as our support portal, social media pages, and partner sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
